Abstract
Burgerschapsonderwijs en de mate van trots op Nederland zijn twee concepten die vaak samen worden gebruikt. Aan de hand van de Sociale Identiteit Theorie van Tajfel is onderzocht of er daadwerkelijk een verband is tussen burgerschapskennis en de mate van trots op Nederland. Om dit te onderzoeken is er gebruik gemaakt van een multipele hiërarchische regressieanalyse gecontroleerd voor geslacht en opleidingsniveau. Ook is aan de hand van een moderatie-analyse de rol van migratieachtergrond bekeken. De data toont aan dat burgerschapsonderwijs zwak samenhangt met de mate van trots op Nederland. Dit effect is gelijk voor leerlingen met en zonder een migratieachtergrond.
